Changing Lineups During a Meet
Lineup changes are a frequent occurrence during a meet. If you are the one entering scores you probably consider yourself lucky if they occur between rotations when you have a few minutes to make the change. Sometimes, however, a substitution happens once the rotation has started. ScoreKeeper gives you a couple of ways to change lineups and which one you choose will depend on your own circumstances.
From the Team's Lineup List
To get to a team's competitor lineups, you edit a team on the team list. Double click on the team or highlight and press the change button (the one with the blue delta or triangle). From here you will see the the team gymnasts on the left and the lineup for one event on the left. A drop list above the lineup lets you select the event you want to change.
To add a gymnast to the list, highlight the gymnast immediately before where you want to add a new gymnast. For example, if you want to add someone to compete third, highlight the second gymnast in the lineup. Then locate and highlight the gymnast you want to add on the left and clock the >> button to add them to the lineup. All gymnasts below the new one will be moved down one position. A faster way to accomplish the same thing is to find the gymnast to be added on the left side then click and hold to drag the gymnast to the lineup list. Drop them on position they are to compete by releasing the mouse button. (NOTE: Before version 1.1.003, you should drop the gymnast to the position just above where you want them to compete).
In dragging a gymnast, if you drop them in the space below the last gymnast in the lineup the new gymnast will be added to the end of the list. Similarly, you can remove a gymnast by dragging them back to the team list or highlight them and press the << button.
To move a gymnast up or down in the lineup, highlight the gymnast to be moved and use the tall green arrow buttons to the right of the lineup list. You can see gymnasts with different performance types because they are in a different color. When a gymnast is added after the number of allowed competitors, they will be added as exhibition, all-around, or individual performance types. Also, when moving gymnasts up or down in the list, ScoreKeeper will change their performance type as needed to keep to the number of allowed competitors.
Sometimes ScoreKeeper cannot determine what performance type a gymnast should be and makes its best guess. If the program didn't guess correctly, use the Change Performance Type button below the lineup list to set the performance type directly for the highlighted gymnast.
IMPORTANT NOTE: When you make lineup changes on the team screen, the lineups are saved as soon as you make them, even if you cancel editing the team.
From the Score Entry Screen
Changing lineups from the score entry screen is especially useful if an unexpected substitution occurs during competition. In the upper right corner of the score entry screen is a small button with green up and down arrows. When you click this button, it changes the lineup list for the selected to event to a change lineup mode and enables the three buttons below. Also note that all of the other gymnasts listed with the team but not already in the lineup are added to the bottom of the list. Use the up and down green arrow buttons to move a highlighted gymnast up or down in the lineup. ScoreKeeper will change performance type as needed to keep to the number of allowed competitors. As mentioned above in changing lineups from the team screen, sometimes ScoreKeeper cannot determine what performance type a gymnast should be and makes its best guess. If the program didn't guess correctly, use the small blue delta (triangle) button to set the performance type directly for the highlighted gymnast.
When you are finished making changes, again click the small button with green up and down arrows to save your changes and leave change mode. (NOTE: If a gymnast already has a score, you cannot change the lineup order for that gymnast.)
