The THERAPIST Pro 2.5.036 Available
The 2.5.036 update to The THERAPIST Pro contains a lot of changes since the last update. The most notable is the inclusion of the electronic claims generator for ANSI X12 5010A1. For those of you submitting X12 claims, this is a critical update. The 5010A1 generator is being made available to those who purchase the upgrade to The THERAPIST Pro 3.0 and to customers who have a Premier Support Agreement. As you may know, in addition to providing a year of unlimited technical support, Premier Support Agreements also include all upgrades for the period the agreement is in effect. So, assuming the agreement is still in effect when 3.0 is released, they will include a free upgrade to The THERAPIST Pro 3.0. (If you have a Premier Support Agreement that you think might expire before The THERAPIST Pro 3.0 is released, you can renew the agreement at the old price.)
NOTE: You will need a new Access Code to enable the 5010A1 generator. Along with it, we will enable the Appointment Scheduler since it is part of what you will get with 3.0. We are in the process of sending out the new access codes so if you don't get yours in an email by Friday, December 2, 2011, give customer service a call.
More Frequentry Asked Questions
Will my network users, additional practices, Case Manager, etc. transfer from my current program to The THERAPIST Pro 3.0 when I upgrade?
Yes! All add-ons and other options purchased for other versions of The THERAPIST will be included with your upgrade at no additional cost. This includes all of the add-ons and options you have purchased not only for The THERAPIST Pro but also for The THERAPIST EZ, Aeris Basic, and The THERAPIST for Windows 1.0 and 2.0. If you purchase the upgrade, all that other stuff will transfer along with it.
Do I need to install 3.0 on the same computer or can I put it on a new one?
That's entirely up to you. However, keep in mind that, once you upgrade, you will not be able to continue to use the old program.
In case you didn't read that far in the last newsletter, here's what is going to happen with the change from ICD-9-CM diagnosis codes to ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes. First, The THERAPIST Pro 3.0 upgrade does not include the ICD-10 codes just like none of our existing practice management programs include the ICD-9 codes now. The new codes will be part of the 2013 Codes Module add-on. No, we don't have the 2013 Codes module available yet (we don't even have the 2012 Codes Module ready yet). Look for it about a year from now.
In addition to installing the codes to your procedure and diagnosis code lists, the Codes Module for 2013 will include the ability to convert your patient diagnoses to the new codes. This could potentially save a ton of time (yes, I know you don't measure time in tons; think of it as artistic license).
